About Us

Asheley Winters DVM
I began training dogs for obedience and simple enjoyment early in childhood, and started training dogs for Schutzhund more than 12 years ago.  I have trained numerous dogs over the years to various levels of accomplishment in sport, as well as working with SAR, obedience, and Police organizations.  My most notable dog is our foundation bitch Dana v. Kelterhof, who I trained from a puppy to compete with throughout the country.    In the past two years I have been expanding my skills as a trainer in French Ringsport, in which I am now trialing with Vrijheid’s Bonita.

I started working dogs in 2004 as a decoy with the local protection dog club in order to overcome a very intense fear of dogs.  Yeah, that’s how I got my start.  It wasnt until 2008 that a club member talked me into certifying as a French Ring Decoy.  I’ve come a long way since then, becoming the only decoy to win the NARA French Ring Decoy Super Selection two times in a row.  While I’ve excelled as a decoy it’s only been in the last two years I’ve started handling a dog, and I have begun to learn ringsport from a handler’s perspective.
